Description:

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Logistician (Analyst) to join our team at Fort Belvoir, VA to support our customer, Project Manager Terrestrial Sensors (PM TS).

Duties:
  • Assist in developing, updating, and reviewing acquisition and logistic documents such as acquisition strategy plans, lifecycle sustainment plans, performance work statements, and item unique identification plans.
  • Support the development and review of logistic documents and provide logistical input in the preparation/writing and coordination of documentation required by PM TS.
  • Help identify and develop logistic budget requirements such as transportation, training, manpower, parts, maintenance, care of supplies in storage and postproduction software support in support of Program Objective Memorandums.
  • Provide input and recommendations using logistics management information tools for analysis product assurance, asset visibility, and manufacturing data (e.g., Logistics Management Program (LMP), RAID Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS), and other Government utilized approved databases).
  • Assist with the management of the Program Offices' provisioning technical data using the Government-approved software application such as Power Log-J and loading provisioning data to the Government-approved program such as the Army's Logistics Modernization Program.
  • Assist with calculating and identifying factors affecting various metrics such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF); Operational Availability, Operational Readiness (OR), Mean Down Time (MDT), Spares to Life Cycle Cost Ratio, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Ratio (MR), Maintenance Cost per Hour, Ownership Cost, etc.
  • Support the validation and verification of the PM TS' program of instructions, TMs, and TM supplements, including reviewing PM TS Contractors' validation and verification plans. Review TMs to ensure accuracy, clarity, completeness, and correct media format and compliance with technical and Government standards.
  • Assist in reviewing third-party training programs of instruction for platforms, systems, subsystems and/or critical items.
  • Review, analyze, prepare, or update fielding plans and fielding schedules; management approaches to fielding FP/PSE; components to be fielded; actions to be accomplished by PM TS, support agencies, production contractors, and other commands and agencies involved with the fielding of FP/PSE systems.
  • Track retrograde equipment and/or similar tracking actions.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing/editing DoD technical documents as well as Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis of systems/equipment, preferred.
  • Able to help identify specific requirements for funding, manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to support the program and correlate those requirements with program plans to ensure support is provided at the right time and place.
  • Experience working in the COLTS supply chain management system and familiarity with the UMR (Urgent Material Release) process, preferred.

Required Clearance:
  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree preferably in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Six (6) years of experience in the Life Cycle Logistics field and familiarity with Defense Acquisition required.
  • An additional six (6) years of experience in a related field may be substituted for education.
  • A Master's degree or higher may be substituted for 3 years of experience if the degree is in a related field.

Travel:

0-25% travel is expected for this position.

Work Environment:

This position will be co-located with the customer and other contractors in Government office spaces.

Physical demands of this position include ability to:
  • Be independently mobile.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
  • Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $143,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
