The Logistics Director oversees all aspects of the organization's Raw Material Warehouse and Finished Good Facility. Performance measurements will include KPIs for raw material inventory, on-time shipment and customer order fulfillment percentage. The Logistics Director works closely with customers to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. The position will manage two Warehouse Supervisors, raw materials and components warehouse staff, and our Finished Good Shipment Customer Service team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Overarching leadership of the day-to-day workflow of the raw material and finished goods warehouses.
  • Creating functional strategies and specific objectives for the raw materials receiving and finished goods warehouse teams.
  • Set and direct activities to ensure department budgets, policies, and procedures(SOPs) are current and adhered to on a consistent basis.
  • Create, analyze, and communicate reports for inventory, capacity, and warehouse operations
  • Ensuring Department KPI achievement including inventory accuracy, on-time shipment, customer order fulfillment rate, and finished goods inventory targets.
  • Direct the cycle counting program for the raw material, components, finished goods, and rep/distributor warehouses
  • Manage fulfillment activities for customer orders including managing third party logistics company relationships and outbound appointment management.
  • Partnering with Operations and Sales to assist with prioritization of production and sales orders to ensure on-time and in full order shipment.
  • Functions as a Warehouse Management system (WMS) and SAP superuser
  • Hiring, supervising, and developing finished goods, raw materials, and components warehouse staffing
  • Conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Employee discipline up to and including termination as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Partners with Human Resources to enhance the employee experience, improve employee engagement and create career pathing opportunities for the staff.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient services.
  • Identifies problems and inefficiencies in existing processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues.
  • Lead by example following the company's values and code of ethics.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


REQUIRED SKILLS/ ABILITIES

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer-based management systems for inventory control, shipping operations, fulfillment services, etc.
  • Proficient with Google Office Suite.
  • SAP experience preferred

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in the distribution or transportation industry.
  • Previous people management experience required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Physical ability to walk the perimeter of the warehouse and travel between sites.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time sporadically.


ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
  • SALARY: $140,000-150,000 and annual bonus.
