Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Specialty: Endocrinology
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Days
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of ambulatory clinic experience; previous endocrinology clinic experience highly preferred
License: South Dakota LPN License
Certifications: BLS
Must-Have:
- Experience with EPIC in an ambulatory clinic setting
Job Description:
- Work in an endocrinology clinic handling diabetic patients (Type 1 and Type 2) and thyroid patients
- Triage and educate patients about their conditions
- Assist with Epic Ambulatory InBasket work
- Download and manage insulin pumps and glucometers after completing training
- Occasionally room patients as a backup
- Interact with a team including medical assistants, RNs, MDs, and advanced practice providers
- Work in a clinic with an in-house lab department
- No requirement for on-call or weekend work
- Adhere to scrub color guidelines: Navy Blue for RNs and Light Grey for MAs
- Obtain approval for any time off requests from the supervisor
