Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Job Specialty: Home Health
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: LPN/LVN License required for submission
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have: Proficiency with electronic medical records
Job Description:
- Patient load is based on productivity, typically about 5 visits per day.
- Admission is generally equivalent to two patients.
- Utilize Netsmart electronic medical records (formerly known as Allscripts).
- Work every third weekend, with the option to take a day off during the week before and after if desired.
- Participate in holiday rotation.
- Flexible hours, primarily Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
- Floor-specific orientation lasting 1.5 to 2 weeks.
- Handle common diagnoses and patient types, including patient infusions, IV antibiotics, TPN, central lines, PICC lines, and blood draws.
- May be required to take on-call shifts 2 to 4 times per month, schedule typically from 5 pm to 8 am.
- Potential for performing infusions for pediatric patients; pediatric cases requiring extended care are referred to the ER for evaluation.
- Scrub color of choice allowed.
- Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment if necessary.
- Upon acceptance, cancelation policy and additional conditions are discussed in greater detail.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a post-acute care setting, providing essential nursing services to home health patients.
