Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Job Specialty: Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night shifts (8 or 10 hours), can be discussed during the interview
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: No license submission required
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Protocol Approved
Must-Have:
- 1 year of Long-Term Care experience
- Cerner experience preferred but not required
Job Description:
- Care for residents in a two-story building with 84 beds across 4 units, including Alzheimer's, COVID, and General.
- Average census: 50-60 residents.
- Nurse-resident ratios: Days 1:15-20, Nights 1:30-35.
- Work efficiently with large medication passes and have strong communication skills to collaborate with residents, families, and team members.
- Every other weekend required.
- Must be comfortable working with pharmacy med carts using bubble packs.
- Orientation includes two shifts or until comfortable on the floor.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Spray and reuse N95 masks, with a clean N95 provided at the start of each shift.
- Utilize Cerner Corporation's charting system.
- Work alongside nurse aides with ratios of 1:8-12.
Any scrubs color is acceptable, and positions require strong communication skills to excel in teamwork. Enjoy a location with proximity to outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, boating, and four-wheeling. The area is also close to tourist destinations and essential services.
