The Machine Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of machinists and the production of high-quality parts and components. This is a full-time, onsite position in Vacaville, CA.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance or personnel issues.
  • Utilize lathes, Haas machines, and other CNC equipment to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering specifications.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Monitor production progress, ensuring timely completion of projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
  • Ensure adherence to machining best practices and safety protocols, continuously improving processes to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Track and control inventory levels of tools, materials, and supplies to support continuous machining operations.


Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, with at least 2-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and mentor a team of machinists and operators.
  • Extensive experience in CNC machine operation and G-code programming.
  • Proven ability to manage production schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.
