Description:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance strategy that supports long-term business goals, focusing on equipment reliability, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing maintenance team through effective leadership, coaching, and talent development. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to established procedures, key performance indicators (KPIs), and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in maintaining electrical, industrial controls, mechanical, hydraulic, compressed air, boiler systems, ammonia refrigeration systems, waste treatment systems, and building infrastructure within a high-speed CPG environment.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics to measure maintenance effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous performance enhancement.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies, processes, and best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency and reliability.
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to enhance maintenance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization. This includes implementing strategies such as 5S, Lean, and TPM to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality requirements. Proactively manage compliance risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external service providers, optimizing contract terms and performance.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute capital expenditure projects to enhance equipment and facilities, aligning with long-term maintenance goals.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures, implement corrective actions, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
  • Other Duties as required.

  • Engineering Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and other relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Quality control: Possess a keen eye for detail
  • Risk Management: Understanding of potential maintenance risks and ability to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Physical abilities: Meet the physical demands of the role, including static pull strength of 84 lbs., push 60 lbs., lift 50 lbs. Mount/dismount a sit-down forklift.
  • Technical skills: Possess basic computer skills to operate production related software and maintain digital records.
  • Compliance: Understanding and adherence to GMP regulations and procedures.
  • Systems Proficiency: Ability to utilize CMMS systems (e.g., EMaint) for work order management and maintenance planning.
  • Continuous improvement: Maintain a process optimization

Experience and Education
  • A Bachelor's Degree (Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineer, or a related science field) An advanced degree (Master's or MBA) is preferred.
  • 7-9 years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience. 3-5 Maintenance Management.
  • General knowledge of welding, basic metal fabrication, and/or pneumatic and hydraulic systems is a plus.
  • Experience in the maintenance of converting and web-fed coating equipment is a plus.
  • Experience conducting PMs on Industrial Equipment.
  • Forklift experience
