We're looking for a talented and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Maintenance Engineer role will have four key functions for the Bushy Park site. 1) Analyzing equipment failures for root cause and implement plans to prevent recurrence 2) Support maintenance personnel with proper work practices, knowledge, troubleshooting and engineering support 3) Own engineering work request process and drive prioritized needs to completion and execution. 4) Liaison with Reliability, Maintenance, and Project Engineering to facilitate an integrated team. This role will be key to minimizing repeat failures through facilitating proper root cause analysis and work practices while helping to implement programs that will drive improved proactivity.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

The specific responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer, while not limited to include:
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment failures to determine and resolve root cause and ensure proper changes are implemented to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
  • Serve as a technical resource for other departments. Assist plants with troubleshooting technical and manufacturing problems. Support the product and business managers to analyze expansion and growth opportunities. Provide support to others for project management oversite and mentoring.
  • Evaluate manufacturing applications to ensure that proper equipment design and specifications are being used.
  • Proactively design for employee safety, corporate risk management and environmental compliance. Actively promote and participate in company programs designed to improve general working conditions such as 5S, Lean manufacturing, Safety Programs. Be an advocate and champion for the welfare and safety of all employees and visitors.
  • Review equipment, civil, structural, piping, mechanical, and electrical drawings to ensure compliance with basic engineering standards. Develop procurement specifications for equipment and services.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of Engineering Standards and Project Execution Processes. Identify and use good engineering practice in the execution of all projects.
  • Analyze plant operations and manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Define project scopes that clearly articulate functionality requirements and success criteria for the project. Complete projects which meet the goals and objectives as defined in the project scope. These include but are not limited to design, cost, quality, schedule, and successful turnover to operations.
  • Initiate Capital Authorization Requests and manage the capital funding approval process for assigned projects. Evaluate the performance of all projects implemented and report results to management.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 5 or more years of experience in industrial manufacturing facility,
  • Chemical process plant experience
  • Experience managing project teams with internal and external engineering resources.
  • Other important knowledge/experience areas include: Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, OSHA required programs for chemical safety & hygiene, SDS requirements. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written. Efficient in using common computer tools (example Microsoft Office).

POSITION/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time exempt position. Standard Office Hours - 6:30am-3:30pm

Some travel may be required.
