We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer Supervisor for our Newark, NJ location to provide appropriate coaching and feedback to all hourly direct reports and oversees the daily maintenance issues (trouble-shooting).

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer Supervisor for our Newark, NJ location to provide appropriate coaching and feedback to all hourly direct reports and oversees the daily maintenance issues (trouble-shooting).
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs periodic evaluations on maintenance operations, equipment, and procedures to ensure that they operate in the most efficient and effective manner and recommending replacement or enhancements to all maintenance systems which include cost estimation and purchasing.
- Develop and execute procedures for plant maintenance, for routine and non-routine activities, to ensure safe operations and compliance with appropriate standards.
- Monitors and coordinates all open PM's, and work orders in the SAP system, attends all PHA's and handles permits (hot work, confined space, etc.).
- Coordinates non-routine contractor repairs (reactor inspections, code welding, ultrasonic tests, crane rentals, etc.), and works with production to schedule equipment downtime and then coordinates with Mechanics to get work completed, while enforcing compliance with all plant standards.
- Assist on improving mechanical integrity process.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School diploma with 5-7 years' experience
- Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (highly preferred)
- Must have extensive experience in maintenance activities to including equipment maintenance, inventory, and managing contractor relationships (5-7 years)
- Must have leadership experience to manage mechanics and electricians
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Must be safety advocate for entire facility
