Description:

Purpose: Develop and lead the Maintenance organization to efficiently meet all plant KPI objectives through use of The EPIQ Way.
  • Develop and assure an overall strategy/plan for the Maintenance department aligned to the plant KPI requirements.
  • Keep pace with evolutionary advances in state of the art equipment and processes; recommend capital expenditures to upgrade equipment and processes.
  • Develop and administer a viable Lockout/Tagout safety program and assure compliance with all plant safety programs and regulations.
  • Assess and develop an ongoing training program to further the skill levels of the Maintenance staff.
  • Develop and initiate equipment standard processes targeting improvements for short term (back up), repair and long term uptime improvements.
  • Oversee an efficient and effective program to manage the spare parts inventory, preventative maintenance and life cycle replacement/upgrades for all plant equipment.
  • Provide technical leadership for the local plant needs.
  • Serve as primary contact and lead for all new projects for equipment related needs.
  • Support plant/maintenance operations as required 24/7.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities

    Computer Skills:
    Proficiency in MS Office products. MRP experience in maintaining all necessary records for maintenance requirements. Statistical Process Control skills preferred.

    Education and Competencies:
    Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Industrial Technology or equivalent experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

    Management Experience:
    Management or supervisory experience required. Experience in project management preferred.

    Physical Demands:
    Must be able to work standing up for at least an hour at a time, must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

    Qualifications:
    Five years progressive experience in an industrial environment (preferably auto industry) with a history of skills in electrical schematics or ladder logic, project planning and costing, machine repair and equipment or process layouts; work and product flow planning; sequencing; PLC controls. Robotic experience preferred. Focus on customer satisfaction and an attention to detail.

    Analytical Ability:
    Strong decision making ability and problem-solving skills.

    Communication Ability:
    Strong verbal and written communication skills requires. Maintain strict confidentiality of any proprietary business-related information to which entrusted.

    Physical Requirements: Ability lift, push, pull and carry, body coordination, arm/hand steadiness, see colors and near vision, ability to work in confined spaces, use ladders, dexterity
