Responsibilities
- Monitor, track and report Key Performance Indicators. Develop and manage action plans to improve when metrics are not meeting targets. Also, responsible for the attainment of: budgeted cost, safety, efficiency, and utilization metrics for Asset Maintenance (Ontario shops).
- Coordinate with fleet supervisor to ensure we are attaining our PM compliance goals and optimizing fleet maintenance costs. Assist with long term planning of the fleet and purchasing of new equipment to meet our Mission.
- Ensure work orders are opened and closed efficiently and on time (WIP KPI). Ensure accuracy of coding work type, task descriptions, etc.
- Responsible for continuous improvement and collaboration with other Maintenance Managers on developing best practices. Also, in charge to implement the Irving Management System and the culture for continuous improvement (Ontario shops).
- Responsible for the development, coaching and mentoring of direct reports and indirect reports for the region.
- Responsible for the implementation of special projects assigned. (Accountable for technical aspect and responsible leading change aspects).
- Ensure all new fleet equipment is setup properly when arriving from factory (PDI) and then work with Fleet Manager to move equipment to its new home base. Work with Fleet Manager to prepare equipment for disposal/sale.
- Work with Operations team to ensure we are providing superior service and enabling increased utilization of the fleet.
- Ensure new employees are provided the proper training and existing employees renew training as required per training matrix.
- Frequent visits to Ontario shops.
Qualifications
- Trade Certification or College Diploma.
- 7 - 10 years related work experience.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Experience with Microsoft edge (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent people management skills mentoring, coaching and leadership skill.
