Maintenance Manager
Silva is seeking a Maintenance Manager who is responsible for leading the Maintenance department to maintain and advance all Silva facilities/equipment and direct the activities of the department to strive for improvements in Employee Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and operational efficiency.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring members of the Maintenance department. He/She is expected to establish a positive, respectful, and supportive relationship with Maintenance team members and encourage individual skill development and advancement of team members.
The Manager will maintain property, plant, and equipment to support and improve the safe production and performance of the operations, as well as develop and implement process controls to provide for improved equipment performance.
The person filling this role will be responsible for providing technical leadership in support of lean manufacturing objectives and contribute to the Silva team by providing technical expertise on food manufacturing plants, process line machinery, equipment maintenance, process improvements, and implementation of new installations.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting, mechanical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, at least 5 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing, familiarity with preventative maintenance systems, problem-solving skills, strong project and team management capabilities, administrative and organizational skills, and extensive mechanical and electrical experience and training.
This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Physical Requirements:
This is a full-time, salary exempt position (expected pay range = $105,000-$140,000/year) with benefits package that includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k retirement plan with generous employer match, employee assistance program, employer gift-matching program, and wellness program. Additionally, this role may qualify for supplemental compensation in the form of a performance-based bonus.
