Maintenance Manager

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Batavia, Illinois facility. This is an onsite position, and the working hours will be 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday.

The ideal Maintenance Manager candidate directs and coordinates the activities of the team engaged in the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment, maintenance of facility utilities and building and grounds maintenance. We seek a seasoned professional leader with interpersonal skills to foster a culture of promoting safety, quality and efficiency in the maintenance team. The successful candidate will embrace a continuous improvement mindset, model professional and safe behaviors, and lead the maintenance team in a manner consistent with the Mission, Principals and Values of Techmer PM, while partnering with other functional groups to support the goals of the Batavia facility and sister facilities in the network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain the development of a zero injury and incident culture

• Maintain the CMMS maintenance management system
• Develop and adjust preventative maintenance plans for manufacturing equipment
• Coordinate and integrate with other plant functions to ensure support.
• Ensure work is performed following safety guidelines to ensure health and wellbeing of all employees.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage capital expenditure projects related to equipment repair/upgrade, capacity increase, etc.
• Resolve maintenance priorities based upon established plans and assigned tasks.
• Oversee maintenance activities to ensure that disruption to production is minimized.
• Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
• Parts Inventory Management
• Budget Management
• Other duties as may be assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• 5-10 Years of experience in industrial maintenance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience is required. Previous work experience in a proven safety focused environment with ability to improve Techmer maintenance program.
• Certifications in Project Management and/or Reliability Engineering desired.
• Experience with extrusion maintenance is highly desired.
• Experience managing capital projects desired.
• Broad-based knowledge of building utilities and critical facilities equipment (chillers, compressors, etc.)
• Understanding of machine controls, instrumentation, PLC's, statics and dynamics.
• Must possess good communication skills and competency with Microsoft Office and electronic communication.

Salary Range: $100K-$125K
