Position Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining the facility and equipment to perform to specifications and in safe working conditions. They coordinate the activities of the maintenance technicians to optimize production and ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required

Experience: 5-8 years of relevant work experience

Essential Duties: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Performs Maintenance Duties by performing routine and scheduled maintenance on equipment according to preset schedules; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, and troubleshooting repairs; following all safety protocol including LOTO on all equipment when repairing; determining causes of operation errors by troubleshooting; installing and testing all new equipment and auxiliary equipment.
  • Demonstrates mechanical aptitude by operating and understanding all equipment necessary for successful completion of assigned tasks; knowledge of PLC, CAD/CAM; knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic applications; and safely operating power industrial vehicles.
  • Maintains Documentation by recording data in Mainsaver; recording maintenance and service for equipment
  • Demonstrates Math Skills by performing mathematical calculations(arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics); ability to analyze qualitative data.
  • Improves Job Knowledge by attending training and keeping relevant knowledge and skills current
  • Demonstrates Interpersonal skills by working independently and with a team; attention to detail; effective time management; ability to meet deadlines; communicating product status with personnel and other departments.
  • Demonstrates Leadership by planning and organizing shift for timely maintenance; communicates company policies and procedures; delegating workload and responsibilities; shift to shift transfer, ensuring adequate safeguards, maintenance and economical use of materials and equipment; effectively participates and contributes on the plant leadership team; leading, prioritizing and oversees multiple activities of assigned people to maximize their productivity and effectiveness; addressing and correcting inappropriate behaviors, actions, or decisions through disciplinary action; and coaching and developing subordinates through effective performance management.
  • Contributes to Organization Success by meeting team and company goals; demonstrating company principles and policies; helping others accomplish job results; following all Quality System and safety protocols; safely operating equipment; wearing proper protective equipment; completing safety training; and contributing to safety goal of zero accidents; keeping work areas clean and organized; developing and assisting in implementation of ideas for continuous improvement.

Additional Position Responsibilities
  • Coordinates technician training and sets competency expectations
  • Drives plant projects by working closely with corporate engineers and outside contracts to meet deadlines
  • Manages monthly purchases to ensure adherence to budget and appropriately codes them in purchasing card system
  • Effectively manages time and meets deadlines
  • Effectively communicates product status

  • Leads, prioritizes and oversees multiple activities of assigned people to maximize their productivity and effectiveness
  • Addresses and corrects inappropriate behaviors, actions, or decisions through disciplinary action; proposing wage increases and succession plans for subordinates; and coaching and developing subordinates through effective performance management
  • Contributes and assists in implementation of ideas for continuous improvement
