General Statement of Duties & Organizational Responsibilities
Responsible for the coordination, representation, and providing input into capital projects that occur at Metro facilities. Serves as the single point of contact for all key decisions regarding maintenance activities with Capital projects at Metro. Plans and oversees asset handover and maintenance of assets. Oversees small project activities and leverages outside contractor capabilities to meet asset rehabilitation and replacement needs. May supervise staff and provides functional leadership for project teams and work groups. Reports to the Director of Maintenance.
Examples of Duties
Coordinates with Engineering in prioritizing and conducting maintenance projects, construction projects, and daily maintenance activities. Coordinates work for maintenance crews to support capital projects. Oversees the asset handover for new capital projects and annually reviews older projects to verify accurate CMMS data. Reviews and validates contractor project related submittals, deliverables, RFIs, O&M manuals, and suggested maintenance practices. Coordinates project-related training on new or modified equipment for maintenance field workers. Reviews drawings, submittals, specifications for correctness and compliance with Metro requirements. Submits information for changes or corrections to project manager. Reviews new asset lists in conjunction with project drawings, Reports discrepancies to the project manager. Develop preventative maintenance schedules, spare parts list, and asset list for input into the CMMS and asset tracking systems. Review asset lists of equipment to be remove from service and provide to the Maintenance Scheduler for status update in EAM. Reviews existing equipment manuals for deletion when assets are removed from service. Review warehouse spare parts related to for deletion. Produces and distributes construction progress updates to staff as required. Informs Maintenance staff on project related schedules, staff training, and various project activities that impact maintenance activities. Performs other administrative or technical duties as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent in engineering, business management, construction management, process operation or related field plus five years' experience in civil, mechanical or electrical maintenance of wastewater treatment or industrial facilities and equipment. Strong knowledge of project management processes. Experience with computer systems, including maintenance management systems, process control computer systems, or computer aided drafting systems (CAD). Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people. Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree. Skill in drawing redline software such as Bluebeam Revu or Autodesk Revit.
