Maintenance Supervisor - Electrical
Support the electrical backbone of a leading global agriculture company's port terminal by tackling complex electrical maintenance challenges to enhance facility performance, ensure safety, and optimize efficiency, while growing your skills in a high-throughput, automated grain handling environment.
What you'll do:
- Develop and implement strategies for maintenance services at multiple Terminals and monitor performance to meet or exceed planned results.
- Responsible for regulatory agency & code compliance for all electrical repairs, upgrades, construction activities, inspections and tests for terminal facilities, systems, and equipment.
- Budget, plan, communicate and execute facility shutdown activities with various contractors and local facility staff.
- Manage the work activities of facility electrical trades staff in completion of maintenance and project work.
- Provide leadership, coaching and development of electrical trades staff.
- Identify safety training requirements and safe work practices and ensure all internal and external resources adhere to regulatory and corporate safety policies and programs.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of safety initiatives, standard operating procedures, and equipment inspection programs.
- Offer technical guidance and leadership to support areas such as high voltage electrical systems, emergency power, fire alarm systems, and automation.
- Compile accurate, timely and legible administrative documents including CMMS work orders, purchase orders, equipment records and drawings.
- Work closely with the Operations, Automation and Mechanical maintenance groups in the execution of common goals.
- Act in the capacity of Field Safety Representative for the Pacific Terminal
What you bring to our team:
- Proven ability to lead unionized trades staff.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems in a heavily automated industrial environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate internal and external personnel in work execution while following all safe work procedures and practices. Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Interprovincial Certification as an Electrician, Electrical Technologist or Electronic Technician.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related electrical and/or supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
- Field Safety Representative (FSR) - B is mandatory (or willingness/ability to obtain), with the eventual goal of obtaining FSR - A.
- Experience working in Canada and knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
