Travel Requirements: In this position, you must be able to travel throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico as may be required from time to time.

Southwire Job Description

Reporting to Southwire Canada's President, the Manager, Retail Sales will lead the retail business segment in Canada. This role is responsible under One Southwire to build organizational capability and develop effective go to market strategies driving profitable growth in the Canadian market. This role also includes responsibility for the National Sales VP and National Sales Manager. In addition, this role is responsible for setting the national strategic framework, and driving specific initiatives for each region, developing winning strategies, evaluating product and service gaps, developing a digital strategy platform, working with cross-functional teams on product innovation, developing marketing strategies and content, building a cadence for performance management and accountability, reporting progress on initiatives to senior management and collaborate with other Southwire business groups to share best practices on strategy execution.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain a focus on strategic planning, organizational capability, performance management and drive process optimization initiatives within the business segment, identifying efficiency gaps and implementing improvements to enhance overall performance.
Collaborate with sales, product management, inside sales, engineering, and operations to identify critical growth needs within the retail business segment.
Consistently meet and exceed sales goals by effectively balancing core business pursuits with strategic sales initiatives and develop accurate sales forecasts, establishing a pipeline strategy to ensure a consistent flow of sales opportunities
Cultivate, strengthen, and sustain long-term relationships with existing clients through regular communication, updates, and strategic account reviews.
Analyze emerging technologies and trends in the engineered solutions market, providing insights to shape Southwire's strategies for sustained growth.
Conduct detailed market analyses supporting strategic decision-making, considering technological trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive intelligence.
Explore and integrate sustainability initiatives within strategies, aligning with Southwire's commitment to environmental stewardship.
Identify and explore new business opportunities within specified accounts to bolster market presence in the retail products, and engineered solutions sectors.
Actively participate in industry organizations, professional associations, and networking groups related to electrical industry.

Minimum Education Level required: Bachelor's
Specialized degree: Business, marketing, engineering, or related field.
Years of experience: 10 to 15+
Field of expertise: Electrical Industry, Retail Products and Wire and Cable

Other preferred skills, licenses, & certificates:
Prior commercial experience in retail distribution/manufacturing and in retail products preferred.
Requires strong financial understanding with analytical skills to work through complex issues in all areas of the business.Must possess excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills.
Requires a team player attitude continuously articulated in a well thought out vision and effective communication.
A strong work ethic and the ability to continuously develop competencies of both self and others.
Must be skilled at using IT Systems including, but not limited to SAP and other Southwire sales tools.
