About The Opportunity

Working as an integral part of the Estxwayusem Finance Department, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Manager of Accounting directs the accounting function of Squamish Nation. This includes overseeing the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting operations, annual audit process, tax compliance, and implementation and application of accounting standards. The incumbent is a critical thinker who carries out comprehensive financial analysis in support of Squamish Nation's strategic plan and participates in budget creation, forecasting, and other analysis. The incumbent is a business partner to other departments, working closely with teams ranging from staff to directors. As a Chartered Professional Accountant or equivalent, the incumbent is a continuous learner with a strong understanding of various accounting frameworks including Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Salary: $ 100,477 - $ 114,179 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program
