Job Summary:
Manages the delivery of coordinated care for patients. Administers the day-to-day management of clinical and operational activities. Manages and directs the activities of personnel utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Takes a leadership role in education, program management, orientation/evaluation of the therapy staff, and is a resource to staff and community.

Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' technical experience: Preferred
- One year's leadership experience: Preferred
- Leadership experience in a psychiatric setting: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Clinical Social Worker (CSW) licensure in the state of practice: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Manages patient care services in areas of evaluation, crisis intervention, group therapy, case management or utilization review. Leads the team to achieve measurable results in accordance with the organizational strategic goals.
- Reviews and analyzes policies and procedures, trends and developments, concerns and special needs. Provides appropriate referrals to various community resources for post discharge care and treatment, using thorough knowledge of community resources, recovery and sober living homes, and assisted living facilities. Facilitates acceptance of these referrals. Participates in patient, family and caregiver conferences, as necessary.
- Contributes to and coordinates effective multidisciplinary treatment plans for program participants. Oversees individual and group therapy counseling sessions for program participants and others, as needed. Investigates and follows up on customer/patient complaints and completes required documentation, as appropriate.
- Participates in the hiring and termination of staff. Consults and maintains appropriate correspondence with community health care practitioners pertaining to individual patients; arranges family meeting sessions, continued outpatient therapy, seminars, etc., as needed.
- Establishes staffing ratios within allotted hours. Manages patient care and related staff by participating in the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, promoting and discharging staff as needed. Conducts annual employee performance evaluations. Maintains accurate records in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
