THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
The Business Architect will be part of a team responsible for building, standardizing and sustaining an enterprise-wide cost optimization and productivity improvement platform. The role will be responsible for identifying and improving end-to-end operational efficiency across all parts of the business. This role, in partnership with their team and leader, is responsible for execution of all programs, initiatives and training to deliver significant cost transformation initiatives and help build a culture of continuous improvement across the enterprise. The role will coordinate activities in alignment with the corporate strategic goal and will deliver on financial, productivity and performance goals.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, analyze, and implement cost-saving opportunities across business processes, systems and operations.
- Maintain cost improvement roadmaps aligned with organizational goals and strategies while prioritizing efforts to drive financial results.
- Collaborate and influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams across the enterprise to design and optimize business processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Partner with stakeholders to challenge existing practices, develop alternatives, and implement innovative cost reduction solutions
- Provide thought leadership on cost optimization methodologies, best practices, and emerging trends.
- Act as an agent of change, owning and promoting the continuous cost improvement vision.
- Serve as a subject matter expert by generating validated cost reduction initiatives and process improvements throughout the organization
- Maintain positive work relationships with members of other teams to communicate effectively and ensure support with cross-team responsibilities
- Apply project management best practices to ensure timely delivery and measurable results.
- Secure lasting change in improved processes through end-to-end execution support, post-implementation monitoring, and alignment on go-forward goals.
- Leverage data and analytics to measure cost performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Translates and documents performance improvements to financial values that align with corporate goals
- Partner with Value Realization Office to assess and improve financial models, budgets and forecasts to align performance measurement with cost optimization goals
- Establish governance frameworks to monitor and sustain cost improvements over time.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Bachelor's degree, and 5-8 years of equivalent experience in financial planning and analysis, cost optimization and transformation or similar field
- MBA, CPA or other advanced degree or certification preferred
- Experience overseeing the identification, analysis and implementation of cost saving opportunities
- Experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools, deep understanding of business processes to design and implement strategic solutions aligned with Ulta Beauty's cost optimization goals
- Experience building financial models, forecasting, financial analysis and building analytical tools and dashboards
- Proven ability to work with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence outcomes aligned with desired results
- Experience in Engineering, Operations, and Project Management
- Understands operational financial measures and how they are generated
- Advanced analytical mindset and presentation skills
- Ability to motivate others to take action dictated by data
- Expert level verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Strong skills in advanced analytical (Alteryx, SAS, R, or Python), data (SQL), or visualization (Tableau, Power BI) tools preferred
