This position works out of our Mississauga, Ontario location in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division . We're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
What You'll Do
This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. The Insights Manager will lead a team of business analysts and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to provide comprehensive data analysis and transform data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and strategies. The role requires a deep understanding of industry data sources such as IQVIA, Accurytics, reimbursement claims, and business systems (ie. SAP) and tools for managing data (MSTR, PowerBI, etc).

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2-3 business analysts and 1-2 interns.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Data Analysis and Insights:
- Analyze market trends and data from multiple sources to identify key insights and opportunities.
- Synthesize data from IQVIA, Accurytics, warehouse shipments, and reimbursement claims to provide a holistic view of market dynamics.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage the corporate data strategy in conjunction with IT, Marketing, and Area stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and market research.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations, to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other non-technical stakeholders using a storytelling approach.
- Executive Presence:
- Demonstrate strong executive presence and the ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and compelling manner.
- Develop and deliver presentations that effectively convey insights and drive strategic decision-making
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree Required
- 8 to 10+ years of experience
- 5+ years of analytics experience, preferably in the Medical Device/Pharma/BioTech industry
- Experience with 3rd party sales data like IQVIA. Knowledge of retail insurance claims process and vendors
- Experience managing projects and vendors

- Knowledge of reporting and data analytics tools like Excel and MicroStrategy
