Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing staff performance and managing departmental processes related to the completion of audits - while championing a culture of continuous improvement. The manager will work closely with the department director to achieve departmental and individual goals, with a keen focus on operational excellence.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of professionals to achieve departmental and individual goals. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning through coaching, regular feedback, and professional development opportunities. Represent the department in high-level meetings with other departmental and executive leaders, and advocate for initiatives that to enhance organizational compliance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the Union, bargaining parties, employers, and consultants with respect to audit and collection related questions or issues.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and streamline end-to-end audit processes to ensure timely and accurate completion audits.
  • Review and provide guidance on audit files, including handling escalated calls, allocation disputes, and negotiating on complex collection matters.
  • Develop and rely on a comprehensive understanding of collectively bargained agreements and audit program precedence.
  • Maintain documentation regarding staff performance, conducts performance reviews, and addresses performance issues.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate team and departmental success, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve goals.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency and impact, including, but not limited to individual file completion rates and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement training programs to optimize performance and define development plan for each team member.
  • Lead cross-departmental initiatives to redesign workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve audit outcomes.
  • Present to various Trustee Subcommittee meetings to obtain direction on matters relating to audit disputes and contractual interpretation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent auditing and management experience.
  • 4+ years' experience in a team leader or supervisory role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Auditing experience in a multi-employer, Taft-Hartley environment or in the Entertainment Industry.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues diplomatically.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to research quickly gain knowledge of the Plans' collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership skills and role models appropriate behavior for staff.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to always learn.
