Summary
The Client Operations Manager is responsible for managing indicated client site and ensuring that inventory management is proactively coordinated, planned, managed and delivered in accordance with DSV IMS guidelines & the Customer Scope of Work. The Client Operations Manager is tied to a single Customer Scope of Work and reports to the US Operations Manager. This Position plays a primary role to make sure that all client sites receive the highest quality of Inventory Management Service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervision of planners and customer service specialists including back-up duties, vacation or time off coverage
Meets with Site Leads and Operations Managers to share best practices and develop new methodologies
Publishes and reviews operational metrics to contribute to real-time decision making
Deploys and implements planning tools to guarantee appropriate inventory levels
Performs planning activities including material & consumption analysis, purchase request generation & coordination / communications with Tool Owner
Assists in the continued development of the disposition of obsolescence risk process
Works in collaboration with HR & Sr. IMS Management Team to recruit, interview and select employees to fill open positions
Identifies & develops material savings projects to generate cost savings
Optimizes inventory levels at all global locations
Identifies ways to optimize Ordering while lowering transactions costs
Ensures OTD (Order to Demand) obsolescence risk is managed
Manages obsolescence risk through STBD (Soon To Be Dead) , Non-Moving items, Client 'Custom' categorization and EOL (End of Life) processes, as required
Optimizes sharing of global inventory between sites through transfers and global blanket orders
Oversees the process and assists in improving both Regional and Global Inventory Turns
Performs other related duties as assigned
Educational background / Work experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 3 years of professional experience required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Five (5) years of supply chain related work experience (inventory planning or purchasing)
Three (3) years of professional leadership experience with direct report responsibility

Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong understanding of ERP systems (Priority)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

Effective oral & written communications skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

For this position, the expected base pay is: $104,500 - $156,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
