Position Summary:

As a key member of the Newbuild team, the Manager of Shipyard Relations will play a key role in driving a consistent and comprehensive view of the health of our strategic partners, primarily focusing on our shipyard partners. Additionally, this role will be responsible for providing visibility to the status of ongoing newbuild projects and their impact on our strategic partners. The manager will collaborate cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders,providing leadership with a thorough understanding of our partner's health, and supporting the successful execution of our key newbuild partnerships. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage his/her experience to frame complex issues and interdependencies into a comprehensive picture of the overall health of our partnerships. The Manager will oversee the financial performance of those partnerships and provide regular updates to leadership, in addition providing board support in collaboration with relevant business and finance leads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • As a Manager, you will collaborate with financial leadership, RCG Newbuild leadership, and external parties to foster long-term relationships that support Newbuild's core objectives.
  • You will serve in a leadership role in the planning, execution, and completion of regular financial diligence and reporting for key newbuild partnerships.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the development and review of financial models, reports, and analysis.
  • You will help identify and develop mitigation plans for potential project and yard-level risks associated with key Newbuild partners and contribute to the development of contingency plans to address any issues that may arise.
  • You will develop and maintain an understanding of each partner's compliance with relevant covenants, significant contracts, and other factors influencing the health of each yard.
  • You will maintain effectivlycommunication with all stakeholders, including newbuild leadership, site office, finance, and external teams, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • You will overseemarket research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitive set activities, and emerging opportunities, using this information to inform strategic decisions and project planning.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 + years of related management consulting, restructuring, investment backing, transaction advisory or project management experience. Proven track record of successfully assisting in large-scale newbuild projects.
  • Leadership: Strong team management skills. Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to build consensus and secure favorable outcomes in complex negotiations.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Ability to assess project viability and make data-driven decisions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiar with commercial real estate and construction industries. Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.Cruise industry experience a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to various audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement effective action plans.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Technology: Proficient in project management software, financial modeling tools, and other relevant technologies. Ability to leverage technology to enhance project outcomes.
