About this team:

lululemon's technology spend and portfolio has become increasingly complex and global - as a result, it has become critical to strengthen controls, increase visibility into spend, and give lululemon better oversight and influence on vendors. The Tech Vendor Management Office (TVMO) is a dedicated team that seeks to effectively manage technology vendor relationships and introduce appropriate control points within the vendor lifecycle to optimize vendor spend and maximize value from our technology vendors.

A day in the life:

The Manager - Contingent Labor Management is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive global strategy for managing contingent labor. This role encompasses the entire contingent labor lifecycle, from sourcing and onboarding to performance management and offboarding. The Manager collaborates with various teams to ensure the effective utilization of contingent labor, optimize costs, and minimize risks, ultimately maximizing the value derived from contingent workers while aligning with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive global contingent labor management strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Process Optimization: Implement and optimize processes across the entire contingent labor lifecycle, from sourcing and onboarding to performance management, compliance, and offboarding.
  • Onboarding & Tool Management: Oversee the onboarding of contingent workers and ensure the effective utilization of contingent labor management tools.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with preferred vendors in the contingent labor space and the contingent labor tool vendor. Regularly review and update the preferred vendor list based on performance and market conditions.
  • Cost Optimization : Negotiate annual volume discounts and rate cards with preferred vendors to optimize costs. Identify further opportunities to optimize contingent labor cost while maintaining quality and performance.
  • Collaboration & Partnership: Partner with engineering teams to identify and implement enhancements to the contingent labor management tool. Collaborate with the labor governance and implementation team to monitor contractor volume and ensure compliance.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and implement metrics to track the performance of contingent workers and vendors. Analyze data and provide regular reports to stakeholders on contingent labor utilization, costs, and effectiveness.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contingent labor, such as misclassification.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a managing contingent labor.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in vendor management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with Contingent labor tool is a plus.
  • Contingent Workforce Management Expertise: Deep understanding of contingent labor management best practices, including sourcing, onboarding, compliance, and vendor management Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including vendors, hiring managers, and legal counsel.
  • Process Improvement: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$107,500- 134,400 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
