Position Summary

Manages the Contract Management Department and contract management lifecycle operations at the direction and in partnership with the Legal Department. Manages the contract workflow processes and assignments, while performing review, negotiation, drafting, editing and maintenance of complex contractual agreements in accordance with organizational policy.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the management and administration of contracts for the organization, including Kootenai Health, SMCVH, and managed joint ventures
Manages the organization's contract management lifecycle system
Prepares and executes system-wide annual contract review process (Vendor Pulse Check) for organization compliance
Manages the day-to-day operations of the Contract Management Department, including but not limited to, assignment of contract review and coordination of service-line workflows
Guides the development and implementation of department procedures and contract review processing
Coordinates system-wide training of contract management practices and guides efforts to improve organization compliance with contract review procedures
Completes or oversees the completion of the most complex contract workflows
Serves as a liaison for Kootenai Health in contract negotiations and provides advice and guidance to stakeholders in the contract review process
Maintains, updates and compiles detailed files, data, reports and summaries, and writes routine and unique correspondence
Schedules and conducts team meetings, quarterly check-ins and evaluations
Oversees department day-to-day operations, including scheduling, payroll, and department personnel
Performs other related duties as assigned
Identifies problems and develops solutions and make effective decisions
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 5 years' progressive experience in a highly responsible contracts role
Prior management or leadership experience strongly preferred
Experience and proficient working knowledge of contracts for IT software and hardware products and services required
Strong ability to organize assigned workload to deliver service at required service levels required
