Definity Insurance is seeking a dynamic and experienced Creative Manager to shape and evolve the creative direction of our brand and marketing experiences for Definity and Economical, to elevate our brands and support business objectives. Reporting to the AVP Brand and Marketing Strategy, this critical role will be responsible for leading a talented and high-performing team of designers and video producers to develop and deliver effective creative experiences, campaigns and executions; cultivating a positive, empowering culture of collaboration and excellence; and partnering effectively with stakeholders and agencies.

Reporting to the AVP Brand and Marketing Strategy, this critical role will be responsible for leading a talented and high-performing team of designers and video producers to develop and deliver effective creative experiences, campaigns and executions; cultivating a positive, empowering culture of collaboration and excellence; and partnering effectively with stakeholders and agencies.
What can you expect to be accountable for in this role?
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of internal and freelance designers and video producers to develop concepts and apply them with excellence across specific executions, campaigns and multi-channel touchpoints in support of business and brand objectives
- Partner with brand, marketing, media, and other internal and external integrated marketing communication teams to ensure effective, cohesive creative delivery (and evolution) of agreed executions, plans and programs targeted at broker, employee, investor and client audiences
- Collaborate closely with marketing operations to ensure the development and consistent application of operational processes to build overall team efficiency and effectiveness
- Advocate and educate stakeholders across the business on the importance of brand integrity and visual consistency to uphold an admired and professional identity and position in the market
- Inspire creative thinking and solutions that instill energy, excitement, and enthusiasm
Creative Leadership & Strategy Alignment:
- Shape and maintain a consistent brand identity and experience across touchpoints, bringing to life desired associations and narratives
- Lead the development and implementation of creative strategies and concepts, working in partnership with the brand and broker marketing teams to deliver against brand/business objectives and experience intentions
- Guide and oversee the execution and evolution of creative elements for integrated marketing communication launches, email programs, digital campaigns and experiences, sponsorships, events, account-based marketing, internal communication and more
- Ensure brand governance, in partnership with the brand team
- Collaborate with internal teams (and external agencies) to identify relevant, emerging trends and insights
- Guide delivery of a consistent and differentiated experience for independent insurance brokers across all touchpoints and events
Measurement, Reviews & Budget:
- Develop and implement consistent creative reviews in collaboration with key stakeholders to promote delivery with excellence and align on areas of focus
- Recommend, track and report on budgets
What do you bring to the role?
- 8-10 years progressive experience in the creative, design and/or marketing field, with proven experience in leading and managing an internal creative team, freelance designers and creative agencies. Experience in insurance preferred but not required
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital and print design, multi-media campaigns and digital/video storytelling
- Positive player/coach mentality with demonstrated success in leading, inspiring and managing toward creative excellence
- Ability to balance creative vision with business objectives and data-driven insights (A pragmatist)
- Excellent people skills, with proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated orientation towards positive mindset, problem solving, ownership, collaboration, and flexibility
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Expertise in design software and experience working with AI-driven design tools
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices in web and digital design
- Demonstrated design, brand and business acumen
- Proficiency in applying insight and strategy to develop creative executions and campaigns that achieve business objectives
- Demonstrated ability to positively drive self, people, process, and technology change in a dynamic, complex environment
- Strong project management skills, capable of guiding, managing, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
