The Manager, Crew Planning Strategy is part of the Operations Planning Division. This manager leads a team responsible for developing analytical tools and models that drive effective pilot and flight attendant staffing strategies. Will play a key role in mentoring analysts, aligning cross-functional teams, and delivering process that support operational reliability and long-term workforce efficiency.

Lead a team in developing and maintaining models and analytical tools to support crew planning functions
Direct cross-functional collaboration to identify, analyze, and resolve pilot and flight attendant planning challenges, improving overall staffing efficiency
Assess operational and financial impacts of strategic changes, including schedule adjustments, labor contracts, regulatory updates, and new technologies
Facilitate departmental meetings to drive alignment, foster collaboration, and ensure effective communication across teams
Partner with leadership across IT, Finance, Flight Training, Crew Scheduling, Flight Operations, and labor groups to support staffing strategies
Prioritize initiatives and lay the groundwork for the development and implementation of new tools and processes
Coach and mentor analysts to build expertise, enhance performance, and support long-term career development
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Undergraduate degree in Aviation, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience/training
5 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Ability to lead a team of differing backgrounds and responsibilities on projects that impact crew planning and performance
Ability to lead, empower & motivate team members
Strong ability to think forward - think big picture - have a vision
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
Strong analytical background involving data input, manipulation and presentation
Proven ability to build and maintain complex modeling systems
Working knowledge of probability, statistics and forecasting techniques
Experience with SQL and simulation software is a plus
Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to interface with a wide range of colleagues who may present competing demands
