- Designing, developing, and modifying data infrastructure to accelerate the processes of data analysis and reporting.
- Reviewing presentations, manuscripts, graphs, and tables to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Developing standards of operation when handling and archiving data.
- Maintaining data management plans and instructions for operating complex business systems.
- Overseeing the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures.
- Evaluating the design, selection, and implementation of database changes by comparing them with business requirements and design documents.
- Assessing system performance and making recommendations for hardware, software, and data storage improvements and Cloud Solutions (Azure, AWS etc.).
- Worked with third party vendors to implement Cloud, ETL, Data Warehouse, and DB design along with implementing BI and Data solutions as per industry best practices.
- Ensuring data and information security by integrating and upholding digital security systems.
- Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability.
- Compare and analyze provided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships, and problems.
- Define and utilize statistical methods to solve industry-specific problems in the manufacturing field.
- Prepare detailed reports for management and other departments by analyzing and interpreting data.
- Provides data architecture support and expertise to all major enterprise projects.
- Creates value by unlocking and sharing data and information in ways which will spur innovation.
- Cascades from data strategy into data governance to promote data access, quality, and analytical capability.
- Implement and maintain Row Level Security (RLS) and monitor overall report access and protect data security.
- Develops and maintains controls on data quality, interoperability, and sources to effectively manage risk associated with the use of data and analytics.
- Works with business and IT leaders to identify areas of technical needs for future data science capabilities.
- Audits security precautions to ensure adequate protection is in place.
- Supports the formal authorization for data access.
- Implements principles, policies, standards, and guidelines for data management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years supervisory experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in data management or analysis.
- 3+ years in solutions, data architecture design with experience in Azure Cloud Services.
- 3+ years of experience with ERP systems.
- 3+ years of experience in data management, data architecture, BI design, and architecture.
- 5+ years of experience in different BI tools (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, AWS QuickSight, etc.)
- Strong math and analytical skills are essential to complete job requirements successfully.
- Ability to decipher and organize large amounts of data.
- An analytical mindset with superb communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms.
- Advanced analytical skills and knowledge of data integration and data modeling tools.
- Extensive experience with statistical modeling techniques, strong quantitative skills, and an ability to delegate tasks with ease.
- Experience with MS Office, SQL databases, Perl, Python, and other related applications
- Background in manufacturing & engineering is preferred.
- Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Thorough understanding of project management and SDLC methodologies.
- Ability to determine long term directions, industry trends, and how they relate to the organizational needs.
