Description:
This employee is responsible for the operation of a Lincare region encompassing more than one area with annual sales over $5,000,000, with responsibility for more than 50 people. This position requires extensive travel and working independently with minimum direction to obtain results.

Job Responsibilities:
- Full P & L responsibility for more than several Lincare areas
- Develops and submits to upper management a business plan that includes sales forecasts, expense budgets, capital budgets, general business plans, salary budget, and manpower projections
- Responsible for asset management, inventories, fixed investment, and rolling stock
- Provides a safe working environment for all employees in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Ensures that area of responsibility follows federal, state, and local regulations dealing with DOT, FDA, EEO, OSHA, and other agencies
- Maintains a working knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement understanding, including government and private payer
- Maintains a knowledge of the regional respiratory market and provides updated information to upper management regarding activities of competition and availability of potential acquisitions within their business area
- Administers and ensures that Area Managers administer an approved salary budget within guidelines in a timely and effective manner
- Ensure that Area Managers locations maintain necessary policies, procedures, and records to comply with accreditation requirements and FDA standards
- Human relations skills critical because position requires dealing extensively with regulatory personnel, Referral sources, and corporate personnel
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of five years of experience with Lincare or similar industry
- BS degree or equivalent
- Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies (FDA, DOT, etc.)
- Requires a solid knowledge of accounting and finance
- Sales background with respiratory experience essential
