The Manager, Enterprise IT Vendor Programs is part of the Corporate IT team and will have responsibility for the development and management of strategic technology partnerships and enterprise agreements that benefit ITW businesses worldwide. He/she will initiate, monitor, and expand key vendor relationships from a commercial and technology-based value perspective, collaborating with global IT leaders to assess needs and set priorities. The Manager will effectively educate potential partners about the unique ITW business model and culture, and foster awareness of available programs across the enterprise.

Compensation Information:
The compensation package for the role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $135K - $170K annually. This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Leverages information technology business acumen and vendor management expertise to create and maintain effective IT vendor programs for the enterprise.
- Identifies and collaborates on program priorities with IT leadership and Division IT leaders and formulates action plans to drive value.
- Develops internal and external requirements for programs; leads sourcing and negotiations processes on key contracts or renewals.
- Manages program impact over its lifecycle utilizing feedback from Division IT teams, metrics, and market data research for value optimization and/or cost reductions and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Leverages strong project and change management skills to drive continuous improvements for the IT vendor management programs and processes.
- Recruits, coaches, mentors, and develops IT programs team members and extended stakeholder team talent. Builds a diverse, high performing, and inclusive team focused on the needs of the ITW businesses.
- Builds and leverages relationships and networks across the organization. Uses indirect influence to persuade others and gain support within the ITW businesses for Enterprise Programs.
- Maintains and enhances strong relationships with current and potential strategic partners through formal and informal interactions.
- Educates and advises Division IT leaders/teams on good IT vendor management practices and negotiation skills.
Near Term Priorities:
- In collaboration with the IT Leadership Team, development of the licensing requirements and goals for a new Microsoft Enterprise Agreement
- Define and implement improved procurement process for ITW businesses to purchase Microsoft Azure services
- Identify requirements for and negotiate renewal of Salesforce enterprise agreement
- Collaborate with the Enterprise IT Frameworks team to establish and support technology-centric Communities of Interest for key vendor solutions
- Review of current vendor programs to determine candidates for modification, restructuring, or retirement
Key Competencies and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required in business or technology preferred.
- 7+ years of broad work experience in IT leadership with responsibilities for IT project management, IT operations management, and IT vendor management, preferably in a Global Manufacturing organization.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of direct reports. Exhibits leadership and people skills to influence and motivate within a highly matrixed and multi-cultural organization. Has a strong desire to mentor and develop others.
- Ability to work 5 days a week at the corporate campus in Glenview with flexibility on hours.
- Demonstrates the business acumen and technical insight to identify how emerging trends and technologies might add value to ITW businesses, allowing him/her to bring credible ideas forward for new programs.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and ability to analyze vendor financial proposals to complete a Cost/Benefit Review. Strong working knowledge of SaaS agreements and related services.
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements to support efficiency and business strategy.
- Superior collaboration and relationship building skills, including adaptability, flexibility, and driving for consensus.
- Strong command of verbal and written English. Communicates effectively through formal and informal channels. Demonstrated experience influencing all levels of the organization with integrity and respect.
