Job Summary

The Executive Recruiting Manager is a hands-on recruitment role requiring a dynamic and strategic TA professional with exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership executives. The ideal candidate will have a background in executive search, industry knowledge in executive recruiting trends, and a passion for exceeding clients' expectations. This person will manage multiple high-level, leadership & executive searches concurrently, demonstrating a knack for prioritizing and delivering results. As a player/coach, this role will lead a small team focused on leadership and executive roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Executive Recruiting Manager will proactively build and maintain a strong pipeline of executive candidates, tapping into industry networks, conferences, and professional associations to expand the talent pool. Using advanced sourcing strategies and tools to engage passive candidates and help enhance WM's employer brand as a top destination for executive talent. Reports to the Director, Executive/Corp/Commercial TA and leads a small team (2-4).

Lead Executive Recruitment Efforts:
  • Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to deeply understand role requirements and ensure optimal candidate selection.
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with senior executives within WM, working closely with leadership to understand their talent needs and offer valuable insights throughout the recruitment process.
  • Conduct thorough interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications, skill sets, cultural fit and leadership capabilities.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to negotiating offers, finalizing placements, and managing seamless onboarding.
  • Juggle multiple high-priority, leadership & executive searches, ensuring efficient prioritization and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders to provide recruitment metrics, prioritize top roles, and ensure alignment on business unit needs.

Build Talent Pipelines:
  • Proactively target and engage both passive and active candidates in key markets by pipelining, leveraging industry connections and engaging with professional associations.
  • Utilize advanced sourcing strategies and tools to engage passive candidates and ensure a diverse range of talent.

Relationship Building and Collaboration:
  • Foster trusted partnerships with senior leaders, hiring managers, and candidates, ensuring a seamless and positive recruitment experience.
  • Share actionable market intelligence, insights, and talent pools with team members to support collaboration and shared success.


Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/ GED (accredited), and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years Talent Acquisition, including:
    • Full-cycle corporate recruiting experience, with a focus on Executive Recruitment, preferably both in-house as well as in an external retained search firm and,
    • Expertise in market mapping strategies, talent pipelining and sourcing including advanced internet research, social media, AI tools, and networking (in addition to education requirement).

B. Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end executive recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring, and knowledge of metrics and KPIs relevant to talent acquisition (e g , time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness).
  • Leverages advanced sourcing strategies and tools to engage passive candidates.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to execute fast-paced and complex recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of internal and external market trends
  • May be required to travel 10% to 20%.

The expected base range for this position across the U.S. is $100k to 130k. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
