The Opportunity
The Ministry of Trade and Export Development, Corporate Services Branch is seeking an individual with strong leadership, accountability and analytical skills for the role of Manager, Financial Programs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and have outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the Manager, Financial Programs is responsible for the design and delivery of financial incentive programs for the Government of Saskatchewan.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be acquired through completion of a university degree (preferably at the Master's level) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, Economics, Social Science or a related field and experience.

The Opportunity
The Ministry of Trade and Export Development, Corporate Services Branch is seeking an individual with strong leadership, accountability and analytical skills for the role of Manager, Financial Programs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and have outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the Manager, Financial Programs is responsible for the design and delivery of financial incentive programs for the Government of Saskatchewan.
Other responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Leading, managing and facilitating the Financial Programs work, develop, deliver, and review Financial Programs for the Ministries of Trade and Export Development, Energy and Resources, and Finance, in support of the provincial Growth Plan and Trade and Export Development's Investment Attraction goals.
- Developing, reviewing, and amending legislation, regulations, cabinet items, policy, procedures, and processes for programs.
- Developing new programs and services in consultation with other ministries, governments, and stakeholder groups, provides guidance and works with program deliverers within and outside the Ministry to implement programs and services.
- Leading stakeholder engagement and consultations for Financial Programs area. This includes relationship building, maintenance and management.
- Leading the planning for the Financial Programs area (i.e. resource management, process management, policies and procedures).
- Monitoring and recommending the appropriate budget is allocated or reallocated to effectively deliver Financial Programs.

- Political acumen and skills demonstrated through experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders on sensitive issues.
- Knowledge of government planning, reporting, public policy development and decision-making processes.
- Experience in program design, delivery, evaluation and review.
- Skills to identify, anticipate, research and analyze trends and issues to understand their impact on trade and export goals and strategies.
- The ability to facilitate discussions and articulate complex issues to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
- Human resource and management practices and principles.
