Summary:
Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis will be responsible for overseeing, completing, and reviewing internal and external financial statement creation/reporting and leading/managing the audit process for one of the nation's leading pediatrics health care systems, including joint ventures and affiliates. The successful candidate is a detail oriented, meticulous and experienced accounting leader, who functions well in a highly independent role involving managing monthly close, internal and external reporting, research and implementation of new accounting standards and acts as a technical accounting resource for the organization.

Responsibilities:
* Manages monthly close, internal and external reporting, research and implementation of new accounting standards, acts as a technical accounting resource for the accounting department, and coordinates as the main contact, external benefits audit and external annual audit.
* Responsible for internal and external reporting requirements of the organization and monthly, quarterly, annual close.
* Maintains knowledge of general ledger and operations of he organization needed to provide useful information to leadership related to financial performance.
* Maintains knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including technical research and preparing memos supporting accounting positions.
* Will lead a small team of GL accountants and act as a leader across the accounting department.
* Explores, supports and manages projects related to process improvement opportunities.
* Uses management skills to coordinate across departments for preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated Health System Financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
* Leverages program management techniques and exceptional prioritization skills to develop tailored action plans and deliverables related to major department objective including reporting, executive reporting and external audit coordination.
* Anticipates, researches, and educates others in the department on issues related to new accounting principles; develops plan for implementation; creates new required disclosures.
* Demonstrates advanced knowledge of financial reporting systems and parlays this understanding to assure dates validation/integrity.
* Seeks ways to improve financial reporting processes in an effort to ensure accuracy while increasing automation and tine efficiency.
* Thinks ahead to resolve issues, takes action to address customer needs.
* Demonstrates exceptional customer service. Uses advanced knowledge to prepare monthly variance explanations for Executive leadership team meeting and prepare financial information for CHST Board meetings, CEO and outside rating agencies.
* Use advanced knowledge to research and solve complex questions related to financial data.
* Extract meaning from unstructured data sets and leverages data as a strategic asset to support informed, responsive executive decision making.
* Works well in a change and growth environment, takes pride in accuracy and efficiency, and is focused and goal oriented with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.

How You'll Be Successful:

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 7 years in Accounting and financial reporting; either public accounting or a mix of public accounting and industry experience Required
* At least 2 years In healthcare setting Preferred

EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Accounting or related field Required
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Accounting or related field Preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Certified Public Accountant Required
