Job Profile Summary
The Manager of Gas Processing & Optimization is responsible for leading a team of process engineers who support ONEOK's Natural Gas Gathering and Processing (NGGP) Division. The ideal candidate is a hands-on supervisor who
can connect theoretical calculations with actual operations processes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Communicate daily with plant operations providing constructive support
- Track operations metrics and review with operations leaders for improvement opportunities
- Provide guidance for new plant builds from a process engineering perspective, as well as operations prospective (How easy will the plant be able to operate?)
- Develop tools such as dashboards and metrics to assist asset owners in determining loss profit & gain profit opportunities
- Lead Asset Optimization teams to identify, prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
- Develop computer models to support Commercial requests, Operations troubleshooting, and asset optimization
- Explain discrepancies between theoretical and actual performance and provide guidance for closing gaps
- Perform and supervise employees engaged in engineering services, scope definition, design, record keeping and environmental activities
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical engineering degree preferred
Work Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas industry, Operations experience preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or operations leadership
- A minimum of 5 years of experience providing engineering support for natural gas cryogenic plants, condensate stabilization, natural gas liquids fractionation, amine sweetening, compressors, pumps, dehydration units, and pipeline hydraulics
- SME level experience with oil and gas process modeling (Promax preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas, statistical methods and calculus
- Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Professional Engineer preferred
