The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. What You Will Do:
- Responsible for oversight and approval of monthly journal entries, closing activities and account reconciliations including but not limited to Asset Retirement Obligations, prepaid insurance, workers' compensation, incentive compensation, EH&S and others.
- Prepare and review month end reporting including miscellaneous supplementals and deliverables to support disclosures for 10-Q/10-K
- Responsible for growing and developing a team of 4 accountants through training, coaching, and creating opportunities while ensuring an inclusive work environment
- Drive process improvements across entities and work closely with other Business Unit leads to create value for RTX by eliminating waste and increasing efficiency
- Contribute to the Enterprise Services organization by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department and team
- Provide excellent customer service to Collins, Pratt & Whitney, and/or Corporate accounts, including answering questions and responding to ad hoc requests as required
Qualifications You Must Have:
- This role typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and at least 8 years' relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business gained in a large corporate/public accounting setting or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience with a related advanced degree in a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience with and knowledge of US GAAP Accounting, including preparing and/or reviewing month end reporting, miscellaneous supplementals and deliverables to support disclosures for 10-Q/10-K.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- CPA/MBA is a plus
- Previous team leadership experience and excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and reporting experience with SAP, HFM and OneStream
- Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills to problem solve and recommend comprehensive solutions including the ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations
