The Opportunity:

We have an immediate opportunity for a MANAGER, GLOBAL COMPLIANCE AUDIT in our ABBOTT PARK, IL OR CHICAGO, IL location.

Join Abbott as a Manager, Global Compliance Audit and play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our global compliance program. In this dynamic position, you will lead the planning and execution of comprehensive sales and marketing compliance audits across Abbott's global operating divisions and Affiliates. You will identify and mitigate compliance risks and provide actionable insights to enhance internal controls. Your work will provide critical assurance on the robustness of our compliance efforts, directly contributing to our commitment to ethical business practices.

What You'll Work On:
  • Lead and manage compliance audits for sales and marketing operations globally.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Abbott's compliance program.
  • Formulate recommendations for improving operating performance and controls.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Oversee audits covering a wide range of activities within the Commercial businesses, including:
    • Anti-bribery/anti-corruption
    • Meals, travel, and entertainment expenses
    • Professional service arrangements
    • Training and education support
    • Charitable contributions
    • Commercial transactions
    • Research funding and scientific activities/publications
    • No-charge products
    • Promotional practices
    • Ethics and compliance program
    • Third-party activities


Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in compliance or audit within the medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors and/or relevant experience with a large consulting firm.
  • Experience working on international anti-bribery/anti-corruption matters.
  • Working knowledge of federal healthcare program laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statue, Stark Law, False Claims Act and CMS regulations.
  • Proficiency in audit methodologies, risk assessments, and general knowledge and understanding of computer-assisted audit techniques to assist in compliance auditing programs.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC), and/or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

Travel Requirements:

This role requires domestic and international travel of 15-20%.

The base pay for this position is
$97,300.00 - $194,700.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
