As Global ESG Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) disclosures required, globally, for regulatory purposes. This will also include designing the data processes and controls to ensure timeliness, reliability, completeness, and accuracy of data. You will lead projects to accumulate the information required for the disclosures, including directing and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of ESG reporting software.

What you will do
  • Monitor global developments, industry trends and best practices related to ESG and evaluate impact to Stryker
  • Design and implement ESG data management policies, processes, and controls across the organization
  • Coordinate efforts to comply with new regulatory reporting requirements including but not limited to the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
  • Develop and deliver the necessary training to ensure processes operate as expected
  • Manage the implementation of ESG reporting software including customization for Stryker performed by implementation consultants and the change management process associated with the system implementation
  • Identify and propose internal controls over processes surrounding ESG data collection and reporting, and assist in creating and maintaining Stryker's ESG control framework, including evaluating risks
  • Engage with Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability, Legal, and Local Finance, amongst others, to support the ESG strategy and ensure progress towards its goals
  • Collaborate with Internal and External Audit to ensure ESG disclosures and associated documentation are assurance-ready


What you need

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business sustainability, data science)
  • 8+ years of experience in finance, audit, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or data science (preferably including experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm and additional experience at a global Fortune 500 company)
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Experience in Sarbanes Oxley Act and/or internal control concepts


Preferred:
  • Professional certification in accounting (CPA or equivalent)
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, and Workiva
  • Fluent spoken and written in language other than English


Travel Percentage: 20%
