S3 is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) which is an organization, owned by credit unions. We serve credit unions by supporting their operations and delivering world class service. We support the credit union members with their loans, deposits and other financial needs to achieve their goals.

The Manager of Home Equity Closing will be responsible for training, developing, and guiding the closing team. The Closing Manager will direct the daily work and production of the Closing team, ensuring a high level of quality service to members, accuracy, and timeliness in all loan transactions. This role is key in providing coaching and development for the team.

Location: Hybrid in the Columbia, MD office.

TOP JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the assignment and completion of daily closing and post-closing department work.
  • Ensures the effective training, development, and coaching of department staff to meet expectations and service levels.
  • Responsible for administrative duties including approving timecards, reviewing leave requests, and maintaining rotation for staff.
  • Develops methods, procedures, and resources to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Resolve closing escalations and member service issues.

Other responsibilities and opportunities:
  • Review Surveys and member feedback to develop and implement action plans.
  • Facilitate relationship meetings with external vendors, Partners and S3 leadership.
  • Demonstrates exceptional service in all transactions.
  • Plan and lead regular department meetings.
  • Additional job-related projects and duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • 4 years of work experience in the banking or credit union industry.
  • 3 years of management experience required.
  • Positive attitude and team oriented.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence.
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

  • Salary commensurate with experience with an expected range of $75,000 - $95,000/annually.

Work Environment- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filling cabinets and fax machines.
