Amazon seeks a Manager III to lead a team of high-performing Program Managers within Amazon Global Logistics (AGL). This role will drive strategic, tactical, and cross-functional projects focused on enhancing our supply chain and transportation networks. The position requires exceptional leadership skills, analytical capabilities, and project management expertise to deliver complex initiatives from conception to completion.

Key job responsibilities

- Lead and develop a team of Program Managers, focusing on hiring, coaching, and retention

- Drive cross-functional program execution across multiple verticals

- Develop and implement program strategies aligned with business objectives

- Establish and track KPIs to measure program success and drive continuous improvement

- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimize resource allocation

- Evaluate and prioritize projects based on customer needs and technical requirements

- Identify and mitigate risks before they become major issues

- Manage project budgets and resource allocation effectively

- Present regular updates to senior leadership on status, risks, and process changes

- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and communication channels

A day in the life

As a Manager III, you'll start your day leading team meetings to align on priorities and remove blockers. You'll spend time mentoring your direct reports, reviewing program metrics, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive strategic initiatives forward, analyze data to make informed decisions, and ensure project milestones stay on track. You'll also participate in leadership meetings to provide updates on your portfolio of programs and contribute to broader organizational strategy discussions.

About the team

You'll join Amazon Global Logistics (AGL), specifically the Cross Border Exports team, which is responsible for delivering packages to customers across 190+ countries. Our team is passionate about globalizing B2C delivery service and setting new industry standards. We focus on improving speed for US outbound cross-border deliveries through innovative solutions and data-driven decision making. The team culture emphasizes customer obsession, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

- 5+ years of team management experience

- 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

- Knowledge of SQL

- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

- Experience of Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
