Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION
The Infection Prevention Manager supports and formulates the infection prevention program goals and objectives following Ballad Health's process improvement, national and regulatory guidelines and state law. The Infection Prevention Manager will assist with design and administer a program that consists of effective prevention and control activities that are specific to the practice setting, the population served, and the continuum of care. Works to coordinate and educate hospital staff using tools, reminders and ongoing monitors of all infection prevention activities. The manager will analyze and interpret results of epidemiologic studies as well benchmark against local, state, and national standards. Oversees operation of infection prevention department, staff and compliance of established standards.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an appropriate health program. Minimum of 5 years in a clinical setting. Will also consider Master in Public Health with 5-8 years epidemiology experience.
Valid and active Infection Control (CIC) certification preferred
Valid and active licensure as clinical professional (RN, MT, etc) in appropriate state
