Job Summary:
As the Manager of Integration & Optimization, you will play a key role within Pathstone's Integration & Optimization team, driving the seamless combination of new firms into our organization. This role is critical to maintaining Pathstone's reputation for excellence in integration while supporting our "Better Together" philosophy. You will oversee cross-functional integration projects, lead change management initiatives, and ensure the cultural alignment of combining firms with Pathstone's values. The ideal candidate will balance technical expertise with emotional intelligence to guide teams through all phases of integration, from pre-close planning through full operational and cultural integration.

Job Responsibilities:
Integration Management:
- Lead and execute comprehensive integration plans for combining firms, ensuring alignment with Pathstone's strategic objectives
- Coordinate cross-functional integration teams across departments (Technology, People Office, Research, Client Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal & Compliance)
- Develop and implement detailed integration roadmaps with clear milestones and deliverables
- Facilitate communication between integration teams, combining firm stakeholders, and Pathstone leadership
- Manage the entire integration lifecycle from pre-close planning through post-combination optimization
Change Management & Culture Integration:
- Implement change management frameworks to accelerate team members through the change curve
- Create and execute communication plans that address stakeholder concerns and build enthusiasm for integration
- Work closely with People Office to ensure cultural integration and maintain high employee engagement throughout the process
- Support Executive Managing Directors (EMDs) in their role as integration leaders for their respective teams
Process Optimization:
- Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies across integration workstreams
- Document and standardize best practices to create repeatable integration processes
- Analyze integration efforts to identify opportunities for optimization in future combinations
- Collaborate with department leads to streamline operations and enhance service delivery
- Contribute to the development of Pathstone's Integration 2.0 methodology
Project Management & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive integration documentation, including process flows, gap analyses, and procedures
- Prepare and present regular status reports to the Managing Director of Integration & Optimization and other stakeholders
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth integration
- Track and measure integration KPIs (client retention, employee retention, operational efficiency, growth acceleration)
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively
Qualifications:
Required Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, project management, organizational development, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in integration management, organizational change, or project management
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams
- Strong background in project management, preferably in financial services or wealth management
- Experience with change management methodologies and implementation
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with wealth management or multi-family office operations
- M&A integration experience, particularly in financial services
- Knowledge of system integration processes across CRM, reporting, and operational platforms
- Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, SharePoint, Planner)
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials
