We are hiring an International Trade Compliance Manager 1 who will be based out of our Linthicum, MD office.
What You Will Get To Do:
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman Mission System's International Trade Compliance organization, working to ensure compliance with export laws that enhance foreign policy and protect national security. This role supports activities within the Northrop Grumman Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) Division.

Salary Range: $102,400.00 - $153,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

We are hiring an International Trade Compliance Manager 1 who will be based out of our Linthicum, MD office.
What You Will Get To Do:
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman Mission System's International Trade Compliance organization, working to ensure compliance with export laws that enhance foreign policy and protect national security. This role supports activities within the Northrop Grumman Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) Division.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develops and manages comprehensive internal export controls to ensure compliance with US and foreign regulations (ITAR and EAR) in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities.
- Establishes and implements business plans for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.
- Establishes and maintains operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews of technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments.
- Maintains applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Supports law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints.
- Establishes and maintains training and audit/assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Proficient in commodity jurisdiction and classification determinations and making determinations regarding applicability of exceptions and exemptions.
- Develops and delivers training, program/function specific export training, and program/capture export licensing strategy updates to Division leadership.
- Provides input on Non-Disclosure Agreements, contracts/subcontracts, and purchase order terms & conditions negotiations, as necessary.
- Represent the organization as a prime contact to influence decision making on complex contracts or projects, internal working groups, and capture activities.
- Communicate with executive leadership on high visibility matters often requiring coordination between stakeholders.
- Manage a team of 3-4 Analysts: guide, support, and coach team members to achieve both individual and team goals. This includes providing feedback, fostering growth, and creating a positive work environment.
Job Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of relevant experience with Bachelors Degree or 3+ Years with Masters
- Experience in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), including the utilization/authorization of ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions
- Experience in commodity jurisdiction and classification determinations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing people.
- Experience identifying applicability of exceptions and exemptions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Experience engaging with executive leadership, including presenting updates, influencing decisions, and navigating high-level stakeholder communications
- Experienced and comfortable providing training in person or via virtual methods (e.g., Microsoft Teams, ZoomGov)
- Familiarity with the review & disposition of public release requests
- Experience with OCR's EASE software
- Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance (Secret or above)
