Manager, IT Client Services

The Information Technology (IT) Client Services Manager manages and maintains an operational support team that addresses and resolves technical support IT-related issues of the entire Halifax Health workforce in a timely manner. The IT service desk team is responsible for the deployment and 1st level support of hardware, software, network, telecommunication and all other IT systems. Along with the IT leadership team, the IT Client Services manager develops an effective and workable framework for managing and improving customer IT support in the organization.
Additionally, the Client Services manager is responsible for Service Level Management (SLM). This entails monitoring and measuring the Halifax Health IT operational performance against an established Service Level Agreement and Operating Level Agreement (SLA/OLA). This position is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining all department-level metrics, and review of all department documentation to ensure standardization, currency, relevancy and accuracy of all standards and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

Coordinate and maintain relationships with Halifax Health users and vendors to ensure the proper and timely completion of customer requirements and problem resolution.

Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditures of budgeted funds.

Develop and monitor internal and external training programs to ensure that new personnel are oriented to departmental procedures and personnel within the departmental unit are informed concerning changing information systems technologies.

Recommend various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, work assignments, performance appraisals, promotions and disciplinary actions; train new employees and monitor performance appraisals.

Act as an integral member of the Halifax Health IT Disaster Recovery Team, participating in the development and execution of Halifax Health disaster recovery plans and procedures.

Promote and adhere to departmental and organizational information security policies, standards, and procedures.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
