Manager, IT Infrastructure

Summary

The Manager of IT Infrastructure is responsible for preparing, deploying, monitoring, documenting and maintaining a wide variety of network services, and equipment. This position is also responsible for supporting and maintaining all systems related infrastructure including servers, operating platforms and storage to ensure the reliability and performance of all office and datacenter technologies. The candidate will work closely with all IT teams, vendors and service providers to coordinate, schedule and facilitate any necessary downtime in a 24/7 operating environment.

The Manager of IT Infrastructure position requires someone with a strong background in IT Management and be hands-on in their approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the System and Network teams to maintain the daily operations of Yokohama's IT infrastructure and operating platforms. This includes the maintenance and support of all Yokohama North American offices/plants.
• Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Azure cloud solutions.
• Develop and maintain a scalable Azure Cloud infrastructure for the enterprise IT landscape.
• Develop and implement standards and best practices as it relates to cloud solutions.
• Create and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the resilience of IT infrastructure during disasters or outages.
• Configure and manage system monitoring and alerts for critical infrastructure systems and equipment.
• Plan, design, and implement projects for the IT infrastructure to align with on-going and future business objectives.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust systems and security solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Migrate any remaining on-premises systems to Azure.
• Maintain knowledge of current systems architecture and configuration.
• Develop and maintain IT infrastructure policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and security best practices.
• Oversee the management of M365, MS Entra, MS Azure virtualization, MS Defender and all other related enterprise applications.
• Participate in SOC, SSAE, SOX, and other security audits as required.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions to minimize system downtime.
• Ability to travel 20% - 25% (Continental US)

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver IT projects and initiatives on time, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the process.
• Understand advanced security concepts and be able to establish best practices to ensure the security of systems through access controls, backups, firewalls, and other protective measures.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless technologies, VOIP, VPNs, and VLANs.
• Ability to manage a team, mentor, and guide junior team members while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.
• Must be organized with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for operational procedures and support activities.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as SharePoint Online, and Office 365 administration.
• Competency in managing Active Directory (on-premises).
• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in IT management, preferably within a sales and distribution environment.
• Over 8 years of hands-on experience in system and network administration.
• 2+ years of experience with managing Microsoft Azure/cloud computing.
• Strong experience with Hyper-Visor/Cloud/Networking: Able to design, deploy and troubleshoot solutions based on VMWare or Azure.
• Experience with Managing and working with offshore teams.
• Strong proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience managing cloud platforms like Azure.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switches and Meraki networking devices.
• Experience with SD-WAN.
• Familiarity with SOX, SOC, and SSAE audits.
• Experience with configuration management tools.
