Position Summary

The candidate will work with business partners to design and implement information systems for Melinta's operations. They will assess current systems and suggest improvements for performance, efficiency, and usability. They will also collaborate with stakeholders to configure systems to meet business needs. Provide onsite support for all IT related requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis to understand the business processes, requirements, and objectives of the system
• Communicate and collaborate with the stakeholders of the system, such as users, managers, developers, and vendors, to collect and validate information, feedback, and expectations
• Design and document the system specifications, features, and functionalities, using various tools and methods, such as diagrams, models, flowcharts, and prototypes
• Develop and test the system components, modules, and interfaces
• Implement and deploy the system in the target environment, such as cloud, web, or mobile, ensuring its compatibility, security, and compliance with Melinta standards and regulations
• Maintain and troubleshoot the system, providing technical support, training, and documentation to the users and clients
• Monitor and evaluate the system performance, quality, and user satisfaction, using various metrics and tools, such as surveys, reports, and analytics
• Recommend and execute the system enhancements, upgrades, and modifications, based on the user feedback, system analysis, and emerging technologies
• Provide onsite support for all IT-related requests and connectivity problems within the corporate headquarters
• Manage onsite server room and maintain current hardware inventory for the office
• Assist with conference room setups within the office and troubleshoot issues as needed
• This role is also responsible for the maintenance of office copiers, phone system, security system and facilities-monitoring software

Core Competencies

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, and Copilot, to support business implementation and improve process efficiency and configuration. Engage with business stakeholders to understand critical requirements and proactively promote features and configurations that enhance productivity and efficiency
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations with emphasis on Veeva CRM configuration and troubleshooting, data warehouse and analytics, and field support operations. Partner with Managed Services to accomplish commercial objectives
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical financial operations with emphasis on Business Central (Dynamics 365) configuration and troubleshooting, data warehouse and analytics, and accounts payable processes
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory operations with emphasis on Veeva RIM, Veeva Archive and relationship to Veeva PromoMats. A thorough understanding of product submissions and related processes
• Overall management of IT infrastructure. Manage various systems that support the overall Melinta technical infrastructure including Azure, Entra, website server support, and service organizations
• Oversight of help desk services including on-site management of urgent and high-profile service requests
• Cybersecurity awareness and enforcement throughout the organization

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, design, development, and implementation, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
• A strong knowledge of the system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as agile, waterfall, or scrum, and the best practices and standards of systems analysis and design
• A solid understanding of the system architecture, components, and interfaces, and the ability to design and document them using various tools and methods, such as diagrams, models, flowcharts, and prototypes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with the stakeholders of the system, such as users, managers, developers, and vendors, across different levels and functions
• A high level of analytical and problem-solving skill, and the ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve the system issues, challenges, and opportunities
• A keen attention to detail and quality, and the ability to ensure the system performance, efficiency, and usability, meeting the user needs, expectations, and satisfaction
• A strong sense of initiative and creativity, and the ability to recommend and implement system improvements or enhancements, based on the system analysis and emerging technologies
