The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

Are you an emerging Digital Software and Services Sourcing Leader with strong analytical, presentation and facilitation skills? RTX Corporation has an opening for a Manager, IT Strategic Sourcing & Spend Analysis role. This is hybrid role in any of the following locations Farmington, CT, Waltham, MA, or Dallas, TX.

What You Will Do

  • Spend Analysis: Capture and communicate meaningful insights from complex data sets obtained from multiple, unintegrated sources. Execute spend analytics & modeling and provide executive level presentations. Conduct research for product portfolio, including install base analysis, competitive intelligence, customer satisfaction studies, and strategic solution alternatives
  • Strategic Sourcing: Analyze supplier pricing and assist in negotiation of complex agreements. Analyze Supplier RFP responses and summarize and present findings
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements in deal tracking (savings, risk, metrics) and contract management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Support the review, draft, and revision of a variety of contracts including software licenses, maintenance and support, professional services and master agreements. Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Decision Support: Inform/influence category strategies, support negotiations for Software (SaaS, perpetual, and subscription) and Services contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives for RTX.
  • Project Management: Effectively manage an integrated master schedule of engagements, renewals, RFQs, etc. in a fast-paced environment.
  • Risk Management: Support the identification and mitigation of potential risks in contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Partner with IT Asset Management (ITAM) functions to lead/support software license audits.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders including Legal, Finance, Cybersecurity to align contract terms with company objectives.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Data Science or related discipline is required, an Advanced Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of Digital/IT Sourcing and Spend Analysis experience required.
  • Microsoft data management, visualization and presentation applications such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SharePoint, PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint and Power Automate.
  • Experience with contract redlines
  • Experience in software licensing models
  • Experience in analyzing and/or negotiating software contracts to drive year on year cost savings to help RTX meet its bottom line
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba upstream solutions (e.g., Contracts, Sourcing, Spend Analysis, Supplier Information and Performance Management, etc.) is highly desired.
  • Experience in a similar role with a top-tier Management Consulting firm is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to convert requirements into executable strategies, and ability to develop and manage an integrated master schedule
  • Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
  • Ability to develop effective presentations and documents used for leadership reviews

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
