Primary Purpose of this Job
As a facilities Manager, this individual will lead an operational team through the professional development of engineers and technicians to improve business processes, execute critical projects, drive operational excellence to world class levels, improve performance metrics, and deliver new facilities systems to meet construction and growth milestones critical to our organization. Provides engineering services for: building, plant, equipment installation and repairs. Manages and leads the facilities/maintenance department.

Provides engineering services for: building, plant, equipment installation and repairs. Manages and leads the facilities/maintenance department.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
- Set and manage maintenance activities, ensuring timely response to the operations
- Direct safety program to achieve established goals to ensure a zero-injury culture.
- Drive a world class safety commitment/culture.
- Responsible for all aspects of shift operations including Safety, Quality, Company Policies, Production, Operational Cost, Lean Manufacturing Procedures and On-Time Performance.
- Manage and refine maintenance planning and tracking system (EAM) and develop OEE process to maximize critical equipment uptime.
- Prepare and adhere to departmental budgets.
- Develop Capital (CAPEX) and Major Maintenance (MMR) recommendations.
- Develop Capital and Major Maintenance project plans through implementation.
- Support construction activities through all phases of the project life cycle to ensure quality projects with lowest total costs of ownership are delivered and integrated into sustained long-term operations.
- Responsible for all aspects of facility and maintenance projects (i.e. submittal, approval, kickoff, schedule, communication, costs, scheduling, deliverables, etc.)
- Effective communication and informing of maintenance operational updates to team and BU management
- Managing and supporting maintenance team including task assignment, performance management, policy adherence and development.
- Provide cross-functional support to other maintenance areas as required
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance of the Facilities, Electrical, Engineering and Operations team in management and daily operations of Forging Facilities Systems.
- Drive an operational excellence action that engrains discipline and execution within and across the facilities operation's organization.
- Identify and drive improvements in business systems & processes that reduce waste & cost, continuously improve the quality of operations, and prepare the site for world class execution.
- Establish, maintain and improve critical and key success indicators.
- Document, track, coach, develop and performance manage employees.
- Coordinate and manage subordinates, facilitate interdepartmental and cross organizational communications and allocate tasks and resources as required.
Minimum Job Requirements: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
- BS Degree in Manufacturing, construction, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of facilities, maintenance, or operations experience.
Preferred Job Requirements: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
- 10 years of Facilities or Maintenance management experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities typically required to perform the essential functions of this job.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.
- Sufficient knowledge of company, products, objectives and operations.
- Sufficient knowledge of maintenance planning and tracking systems.
- Familiarity with vacuum, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to successfully balance multiple projects at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as with and through others to achieved desired results.
