The Manager, Medicare Sales, will be responsible for direct oversight of all Individual Medicare Inside sales and retention activities including responsibility for performance of the telesales distribution channel and ensuring regulatory compliance for all established Medicare and CDPHP policies and procedures. The position will implement the sales activities needed to meet established sales and retention goals for all individual Medicare products. The Manager Medicare Inside Sales will also provide supervision to the Team Lead, Medicare Sales ensuring successful operation of all Medicare call centers.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required, associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years management/supervisory experience in sales/marketing and or Call Center experience utilizing phone agents, is required.
  • Experience with Medicare or health insurance strongly preferred.
  • NYS Life, Accident, and Health Insurance license required or secured within 90 days or employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and coach sales teams for success is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a training plan is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct inside/phone sales is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to make proactive recommendations regarding new products/marketplace conditions is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to develop department policies, procedures and guideline.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills are required.
  • Knowledge of Medicare products strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word required. Microsoft Excel preferred. Experience with a computer-based documentation system or customer relationship management (CRM) software to track inquiries received is preferred.
  • Ability to apply problem solving and time management methodology to organization problems is required.
  • Demonstrated public speaking ability required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with external and internal contacts both verbally and in written correspondence.
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to monitor productivity and quality standards.


CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
