- We're building a vibrant, content-driven eCommerce experience-and we're looking for a Manager of Merchandising Strategy to lead the development of our third-party product assortment strategy within our shoppable streaming marketplace. This is an engaged manager role. As the Manager of Merch Strategy, you will curate a brand aligned, merchandise mix and establishing strategic vendor partnerships that promote customer engagement, sales, and retention. You'll lead assortment strategy, vendor negotiations, pricing, promotional planning, and performance optimization-all with a foundation in Shopify and digital merchandising best practices.
- Reporting to the Head of Commercial and managing a tenured Site Merchandising Specialist, you'll be at the center of innovation-bringing together customer insights, content understanding, and vendor management to ensure the marketplace delivers a seamless shopping experience.
Your Impact
- Build the third-party product assortment strategy, ensuring understanding of brand values, customer preferences, and revenue goals. Select and manage a diverse, merchandise mix to enhance the customer journey and promote conversion.
- Identify, negotiate, and onboard strategic vendor and brand partners to expand product offerings.
- Use Shopify analytics, customer insights, and competitive benchmarking to assess product performance and increase the assortment mix. Adjust pricing, promotional, and inventory strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Collaborate with content, marketing, and creative teams to ensure products are surfaced within the streaming experience. Improve strategic product placement and collection curation that aligns with storytelling and customer engagement goals.
- Develop merchandising plans for important launches, seasonal moments, and promotional campaigns. Align with eCommerce and marketing partners to support conversion-driving activations.
- Stay ahead of trends in digital commerce and consumer behavior. Identify new merchandising tactics and opportunities, and evolve the marketplace experience through ongoing testing.
What You'll Bring
- You have experiencemanaging third-party vendor partnerships and leading assortment strategy.
- You have knowledge of Shopify with a clear understanding of how to increase digital storefronts for performance, conversion, and storytelling.
- You bring an analytical mindset with comfort using data and tools (Shopify analytics, dashboards, benchmarks) to guide decisions.
- Experience with digital product launches, promotional planning, and inventory optimization.
- You have 5+ years of experience in eCommerce merchandising, vendor management, or marketplace operations.
- Experience with eCommerce (preferably Shopify) , site merchandising, or other streaming commerce platforms.
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Merchandising, Data Analytics, or related field.
